Language for Writing is a oral language and writing program . Direct instruction provides a systematic and explicit teaching to develop language and writing skills. It focuses not only on writing, but vocabulary, syntax, and organizational skills that underpin writing. Some of the contect focus is on sentences, grammar, thinking skills, punctuation and capitalization, interpreting written texts, writing narratives about pictures, and specific writing skills.
